Gujrat, Pakistan — Liberty Gujrat hosted a grand and patriotic ceremony on 6th September, commemorating the spirit of Pakistan’s Defence Day and paying tribute to the courage, sacrifices, and services of the nation’s brave heroes.
The ceremony was marked by a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony, led by Director General Anti-Narcotics Brigadier Sikandar Hayat Chaudhry, Assistant Commissioner Gujrat Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon, and CEO Liberty Gujrat Kaleem Gilani. The event reflected a strong sense of national pride and unity.
Adding to the grandeur of the occasion, cadets from Kings Cadet College presented an impressive guard of honour, demonstrating discipline, dedication, and respect for the nation.
The ceremony was attended by several prominent personalities and community leaders, including Gondal Group Chairman Alhaj Afzal Gondal, Malik Izhar Ahmed, Chairman Care & Hope, Rukhsar Ahmed Melo, former Secretary Gymkhana, Safran Nazir, CEO Chenab Real Estate, Chaudhry Nasir Pannu, Shavez Jeral, Mian Ghulam Mian, Malik Anwar, and Chaudhry Tanveer Hussain of Chenab Real Estate.
Honouring Community Service
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the Pride of Gujrat Awards, recognizing individuals for their outstanding contributions to social welfare and community service. The awards served as a meaningful acknowledgment of those working tirelessly for the betterment of society.
Speaking on the occasion, DG Anti-Narcotics Brigadier Sikandar Hayat emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens toward the country. He said that everyone should reaffirm their commitment to the security, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan, while paying heartfelt tribute to the unforgettable sacrifices of the nation’s martyrs and veterans.
Assistant Commissioner Gujrat Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon also appreciated Liberty Gujrat for celebrating Pakistan’s national occasions with enthusiasm and passion. He praised the organization for demonstrating its love for Pakistan and for creating opportunities that bring the community together on important national occasions.
